Well, Future Dwellers, that's it! That's all we're getting. The show that had so much potential ends with some pretty good closure but with a future wide open of possibilities. The episode itself, I'll admit, was very contrived to get them in the right situations at the right time. But, seeing the little changes that happened here and there were pretty interesting. And the setup for next season was just enough to keep us intrigued of what they could do! Unfortunately, we will never see that come to fruition. Oh well, we tried right? It won't stop me from doing a tiny bit of a dive into this episode for old time's sake. So let's do it!
Future Shock continued right where the last episode left off. It was the majority of April 29th and everyone was about as far as they could be from fulfilling their FlashForward visions. But as we inched closer in this episode, everyone was where they were supposed to be. And the 2 people that didn't have visions were together witnessing the start of the next round! So let's dive right back into where we were!
Disclaimer: I apologize, ever since the LOST finale I have been having technical difficulties with posting pictures to my blogs. I apologize for not having any screenshots in this finale post!
Bryce/Keiko/Nicole
When we last left off, Bryce was chasing after Keiko who was heading to the airport, and Nicole was feeling sorry for herself for not telling Bryce about knowing Keiko was in town. We continue that story an hour and change from 10pm.
- I loved the scene between Bryce and the receptionist at the immigration center. How she was reading a romance novel so Bryce talked about his flashforward of DESTINY in LOVE. And then she ends up conning him out of 100 dollars because "she had it in her pocket in her flashforward." That was a good time! It may have been the biggest laugh this show ever had. Certainly better than Mark calling everyone cupcake!
- Bryce runs into Nicole outside after he gets a contact phone number for the infamous restaurant he is supposed to meet Keiko in. Bryce breaks Nicole's heart and tells her that he loves this woman he never has met. He is even wearing the clothes that he was wearing in his flashforward without even thinking about it. Crazy.
- Nicole lets him go and then heads off into the night, worried that some man is going to drown her. Ahhh she does get run off the road (or she was driving on the wrong side or something) but she swerves right into a body of water and begins to drown! But instead of being drowned by someone, she is SAVED by someone! The man? I think his name was Ed or something? He had a flash that he saved her but he thought he may have been too late. I'm sure this would have been a love interest for Nicole in season 2. Too bad we won't be seeing anymore!
- Then there was Keiko. Keiko's mom gets MVP of the night for having a change of heart at the airport and helping Keiko get away. She smacks one of the cops or security people with her bag and Keiko runs off. Yes, contrived...but who cares. I laughed!
- Bryce had to fight to get inside the restaurant that was having a private party for Flash Day. But the waitress recognized Bryce as Keiko's man. How? I have no idea! And then Keiko gets out of a cab with 7 minutes until 10pm and runs to the restaurant, getting there just in time and finding Bryce. Ahhh FATE, crazy when it works out, right?
Aaron and Tracy
So, things were looking pretty bleak for this story. Aaron, Tracy and Khamir were all where they were supposed to be in their FlashForward, but Tracy appeared to be dead. Yeah, but this is TV! Of course Khamir decided to check for a pulse 5 minutes later and there still was one! Tracy is saved and Aaron's Flash comes true just like it's supposed to. YAWN
Simon, Demetri and Janis
Okay, so we continue onward to NLAP with this unlikely trio. Apparently the key to everything will be Simon's phone. They get close to a security guard and some how activate his phone and they can get through all of the crazy security doors.
- Meanwhile, Janis is having some pregnancy issues and collapses. Well of course! She needs to be at a hospital by 10pm! And she is. An ambulance takes her and the doctor there was waiting for her since they saw each other in the FlashForward. Long story short, Janis finds out that the baby IS okay during those 2 fateful minutes. But there is a difference. It's a boy, not a girl! Ahhh the future is unwritten, just like Doc Brown told us in the cheesiest scene of the Back to the Future Trilogy!
- Meanwhile Simon and Demetri carry onward to the main computer room or whatever. Simon hands over the QED ring to earn Demetri's trust. The 2 men that did not have flash forwards are now working together to prevent the next blackout. Yep, no success on that one. They go right through 10:00 and the computer activates remotely and begins to fire up the accelerator at the time that Mark figures out (we'll get there). Simon and Demetri both decide to not wear the ring as they want to see their futures. So much potential there! But alas, we will never see it. \
Olivia/Charlie, Lloyd/Dylan
This may have been the most contrived of all of them. Olivia and Charlie were on the beach trying to be as far away as possible from making the vision come true. Lloyd and Dylan find them there because of their respective security detail. Lloyd convinces Olivia to come back for the betterment of the world.
- They get back the house. Dylan is craving that crazy cookie that he gets in his flash.
- Lloyd decides to keep his shirt on this time, but they are eventually summoned to the bedroom. Why? Because DYLAN wrote the formula on the mirror! (Congrats to Crackpot Jack of the Jay and Jack podcast. Very impressive)
- But now Lloyd needs to figure it out. And of course this triggers Olivia to not fight her fateful night and she wants to kiss Lloyd! Definitely a stretch but whatever! At least it was different enough that she didn't go as far with it as they had in their FLASH. Not sure if they had prior to this night or not though. We've just seen a lot of smooches!
- Anyway, Simon sends the text because he knows he is supposed to. It is some inside joke of a formula that used to be Lloyd's email signature or something like that. But this triggers something for Lloyd and then he calls Mark and somehow figures out that the next blackout is going to be in April of 2010. Well considering it's the 29th, it shouldn't be too hard to figure out it's going to be in the next 26 hours! (but Mark still has to move some rope around in in a time bombed building to pinpoint the exact time! But we'll get there)
- Meanwhile...10:00 comes and goes and Olivia moves Charle away from the door when Vogel announces that Mark is dead. Of course, it was also a figure of speech and not a confirmation. He was just assuming Mark would be dead because he ran into a building ready to blow.
Mark, Stan and FBI Situation
So Mark was still in prison lockup for a drunken brawl. Wedeck bails the man out. I guess he was going to take him home or something, but instead they get a call to the FBI HQ with a bomb threat. Stan tells Mark to sit in car and talk to Aaron on the phone. He does for a second but then sees Hellinger and has to get out and talk to him.
- Hellinger says that the building is a dead end, but Mark is not listening. Hellinger gives the nod to his men dressed as SWAT guys and they put their plan into motion.
- Mark sees Vogel on the way in and sends him to the Benford house to watch over his family. (Ahh everything conveniently tying together!)
- Mark then heads in. (meanwhile the SWAT guys kill the real SWAT guys and then put on their crazy masks and we see they are the 3 Starred tattooed guys.
- The crazy gunfight then begins! Wedeck and Vreede move into the building to get Mark or protect Mark.
- Mark is in his office and sober. He's right where he's supposed to be, but he is ready. He gets the fateful call from Lloyd, but instead of all the 8 ball talk they get right to business. Mark finds Gabriel's journal and starts putting the strings where they are supposed to be and identifies 10:14pm as the next blackout. CONVENIENT ONCE AGAIN!
- Then the masked men come in and all hell breaks loose. Of course, Mark is ready to take them all on and we see a pretty crazy gun fight. Mark getting the upper hand each time. It was cool, I'm not gonna lie!
- Stan and Vreede are doing some gunfighting of their own. And Stan ends up in the bathroom! YAY! He goes into his fateful stall and ends up shooting the guy that comes in after him. NICE.
- Mark then sees there are very few minutes left until 10:14. He calls Wedeck and they're able to get a global alert out to minimize casualties. Mark also gets a call off to Olivia and tells her to keep Charlie safe and that he loves them both. He fully expects to die. He kills the last man after him with a "WHAT DID YOU SEE" lame line (Kate's "I saved you a bullet" line was so much better on LOST!! But duhhh so was the show!). Then Mark runs out the window towards a helicopter and the next blackout happens!
FlashForward Part 2
Well, is there even any sense in speculating on any of this? We saw various visions and they were all pretty tough to place. We saw shots all around the globe of people collapsed again. And in the forward flashes we see 2 dates. One is in 2011 and one is in 2015. Did they see visions for all of this? The biggest thing we catch is a glimpse of an older Charlie (we think) that is excited because "they found him" While they are blacked out, that crazy BAD LADY that recruited Janis has one of the QED rings on and takes Janis away. We also see the FBI building blow up and we have no idea where Mark is.
Does Mark disappear from his family for 5 years? Is that who the HIM was? Was that even Charlie in the flash or was it someone Charlie saw in 2011? It definitely was left pretty vague, but there were tons of possibilities looking at a nearby date and another date further into the future. But alas, we'll never know where they would have went with it because ABC decided to make THIS episode....
THE END!!!
And that's all they wrote folks, LITERALLY! I apologize if it seemed like my heart wasn't in these last couple of recaps. It really wasn't! I really did enjoy the show. Even if it never matched up to the impossible expectations it had to capture the entire LOST crowd, it was still a great thriller of a show and had so much future potential. But, maybe it was meant to be. If you try TOO hard to recapture the magic of LOST, chances are it's not going to work. It just kind of has to happen. I enjoyed FlashForward for a show on its own, not because of its attempt to be like LOST. But, not many shared our feelings for it.
There will be another show one day that will capture our imaginations. It won't be LOST, but it will be something. And I might just be there to talk about it. I thank you all for joining me on this little experiment. There possibly will be experiments in the future. So be sure to follow me on Twitter or keep up with any posts I make here or on my other blogs about any future plans. Maybe I'll create some consolidated Blog site so that you don't have to look for my stuff in different places. I just need a good NAME for the site! But that's another story. Seriously, thank you very much. I'm glad I wasn't the only one that gave this one a shot. But, with that said, it's time to say goodbye.
Hope you enjoyed my ramblings and I'll catch you after the next blackout!

Is there any chance (or talk/rumors) of another network picking this show up? It may not have been as good as Lost, but it is better than 98% of the shows out there. I thought the show got better and better as the season went on and I'm going to miss it.
This is a really great show. I cannot believe they are going to cancel it. And here they keep V. I really hope another network picks it up. Or even better yet ABC keeps the show!!!!
Totally agree with both comments. The show was really good and had lots of potential. I do not know if there is a chance of it getting picked up but I think people attached to the show are already signing up for different things. I know the actress that plays Janis already had a comedy pilot lined up. There is always HOPE I guess!
BTW everyone, finally figured out what was wrong with my pictures. I ran out of space in my picasa web albums. I had to pay to increase my storage! WHOOPS! ($5 a year, no big whoop) Anyway, I fixed up LOST but no time to capture the pictures for FF right now. I will try to do it later...not that it makes much difference. The show is over! Just letting everyone know!
Thanks for reading.
ya i doubt that any network will pick it up sadly. its a pretty "star" laden cast and i doubt a syfy or similar network can take on that payroll...
PS. Mike you should recap V next season
I thought this episode was amazing from start to finish…I didn’t think it felted contrived at all but it would be natural to feel that way when you see the pieces from the beginning…Lets be honest it was not trying to capture Lost’s audience from now it was trying to get the 18 million that left after the first season.
I am sad to see it go but after Lost’s epic failure of a final season and finale I am kind of glad because I don’t want to invest 6 years into watching something that will fizzle out in the end. (Still disappointed with the Lost finale can you tell? Lol)
I agree Mark’s line was cheese ball but his face while running out of the exploding building was absolute stupid…Surprised you didn’t notice it lol I thought it was a 15 year old Charlie at the end…Flash forward’s problem was it gets a little to soap operaish sometimes (like the Lloyd and Olivia conversation) and it loses momentum…I must admit John Cho really grew on me as the season progressed and Dominic was just amazing in his role
Mike, thanks for the recaps and you made my enjoyment of Flash-forward that much better! To all posters it was great reading all your comments!
@Anonymous - I still am working my way through the last 2 episodes of V. I like the show, but I still don't see what is worth recapping about it! It's a pretty straightforward suspense thriller lol But we'll see!
@Deebo - If they were trying to get the 18 million that LOST had in season 1, then starting off with a complex mystery right off the bat wasn't the way to go! LOL LOST started off fairly simple and then worked its way into complexity and a deep mythology. We learned about these characters and slowly took them down the rabbit hole. In FlashForward - the rabbit hole commenced immediately! I still really enjoyed the season/series finale but some of the situations that occurred to get them where they needed to be just seemed a little nuts to me
Oh and I totally forgot to bring up the crazy Kangaroo returning! lol And that there was a dog awake during the blackout. I guess I would have pointed this stuff out if I knew we had to continue speculating on it!
I still disagree with you on LOST and the final season and yes, can still tell you're disappointed. Hopefully, you'll come around on it eventually and remember the, pun intended, GOOD TIMES!
Oh god...I forgot to talk about how much I laughed when he was running with his arms in 90 degree right angles and the face. That was hysterical. Totally noticed it! I definitely agree on Demetri and Simon being great roles and Cho grew on me too. Dominic was brilliant. I'd say that he saved the show but....obviously he didn't! LOL
You're totally welcome for the recaps...glad it helped your enjoyment. Thanks for being one of the first converts from the LOST blog and for your dedication!
Interesting information on possibly why FlashForward didn't work vs. why LOST did and ironically it has to do with Having a plan (flashforward) vs. letting the show grow and tell you what it is (LOST). Lindelof is quoted.
And another show I keep hearing about, Terra Nova...might be one to think about covering next season! That and "No Ordinary Family" seem to have the most potential right now.
EW Article Link
Sad to see it go. It looks like they had some pretty interesting story arcs planned out for next season. I would've loved to see Simon continuing trying to exact his retribution against the organization behind the GBOs.
Is it just me, or did anyone else get a sense that there was some initial backlash against the show because of the fact that it was being compared to LOST? I know personally some LOST viewers stopped watching FF precisely because of the expectations behind pitting it as the next LOST. Instead of continuing to watch it on its own merits, they dismissed it for the mere fact that it was compared to the sacred cow of LOST.
Hopefully there will be a long protracted writers strike. ABC will then be forced to hire real talent and they will continue this series and drop V.
I def think that alot of people were trying to find the next lost - and that was a mistake for them.
Also - ABC left it off for too long in the winter break. It would have been soooo cool to have 4/29 air on April 29.
Vogel was def fishy. I don't believe he said Benford is Dead just because he knew Mark was going back into that building. No - I think it would have later been revealed that he had something to do with the guys shooting at Mark in the building and so he assumed him dead. I think he was in on it.
But - we'll never know.
Thanks Mike and all the other commenters for making it fun. And No - I still have not read the Lost finale comments. SIGH. IT's been crazy lately - but I will catch up
@Andy - I would agree a lot of people were looking for the next LOST. I'm guilty as charged, but I also wasn't naive enough to think they would be exactly the same either! What I was looking for was another show that would get us all engaged in discussion. It seemed like it was on its way to being something like that, but alas...the plug was pulled. The ironic thing is...with LOST, yeah there was stuff to discuss in that first season, but it wasn't until we started diving into the DHARMA Initiative and Island Mythology when the blogs, podcasts and theory websites started popping up at every left turn. (I say this because I didn't start my blog until season 2 LOL) But, ratings are key to success with these shows....LOST defied the rules and remained a ratings success that first season and even earned the Emmy for Oustanding Drama. CRAZY! FlashForward failed to gain traction and get people as invested. It sucks....and totally agree with Anonymous that of the 2 shows introduced as replacements for LOST....FlashForward has been a lot better than V. I watch them both and have stuck with both....but V can be incredibly corny! lol Maybe that's the point. Still can't believe that was renewed over FF.
@MJ - I agree that ABC is part the culprit leaving FF off the air so long. The Winter Olympics being the other culprit. Of course, it's not like LOST went on hiatus during the olympics and it did just fine against it! LOL I guess you could be right about Vogel. I agree he always seemed fishy. But like you said...doesn't really matter!! lol
Thanks for the props as always and thanks for coming over to support this blog from the LOST blog! Good luck on the LOST comments catchup!
Mike - I don't use Twitter so I don't know how I'll be able to find out what your next project will be. I'd like to follow because I have really enjoyed the "blogging" experience and hearing different people's perspectives. What is the best way for me to stay in the loop if not via Twitter? Thanks again for the recaps here and, of course, with LOST. I wish this show had made it! Now I have NOTHING to watch! Thanks again -- Cajun QT
Cajun - Thank you very much for the kind words!
Let me state first that I cannot recommend signing up for Twitter enough. A year ago, I was so anti-twitter. Didn't see the point of it. But now I get it. It has totally changed the way I view the internet. The stuff I follow lets me know when something is updated and where. Plus you get real-time commentary on anything going on by anyone on the planet. (depending who you follow of course lol) It can be as powerful or as awful as you want it! LOL And there is so many ways to digest it. Text Messages, Phone Apps, Websites, RSS feeds. But alas, I won't force you to sign up! lol
There are plenty of ways to keep in touch. You can sign up for email updates on the LOST blog or This blog. I'll be sure to update both sites if I have decided to take on a new venture. You could sign up for Gather.com and add me as a friend there. I usually post all of my stuff over there too, but if I know who you are I'll refer you back to the main site! lol You could also shoot me an email and I can put you on my LOST and FlashForward email distribution lists....I'll probably shoot an email out to everyone to let them know my next venture as well and see if they want to be in the loop for future efforts.
Still not sure what I'll do. I feel like my best bet would be to get more generic and create a site where I could write about anything instead of focusing on one show. But, I need a creative name for the site! TV Addict is already Taken! LOL
But yeah...plenty of ways to keep in touch! If you don't want to sign up for anything, then just keep checking the LOST blog and this Blog...you'll see an update if I make a decision!
Thanks for your loyal readership and the big props!
i just got a chance to read this last recap (busy few weeks for me)... but man am i disappointed it's over! besides the fact that i thoroughly enjoyed the show (still angry that ABC kept a boring show like V over this one), i loved reading your recaps after Lost AND Flashforward... and now it's all over!
i thought it was a great SEASON finale.. wish it wasn't a SERIES finale though! i definitely agree that some of the scenes were contrived. the lloyd/olivia stuff bothered me... but it's bothered me all season that mark and olivia could just let go of their marriage like that.
i liked seeing how everyone did wind up where they were supposed to be.. when wedeck was in the bathroom i laughed.
it would've been great to see where they were going with all of it, but sadly we'll never know.
i hope that we all find another show that we can come together and talk/complain about soon! i'll definitely sign up for updates to your blogs, and hopefully i'll like whatever you decide to recap next :)
thanks so much for making my wednesdays and fridays!
Thanks for the props Kelly! You're totally welcome. And I hope you follow whatever I do next too. Whatever it may be! lol
Too bad that you want to start at the beginning with a show. Sons of Anarchy and Justified are great. SOA is starting S3 (I think) in the fall and Justied is about to end their 1st season.
Neither are highly mysterious though - just well written
i LOVE SOA... amazing writing, amazing show. my second favorite after Lost, though now that Lost is over i guess it's now my favorite! you're right, MJ- no mysteries to ponder, but it's still great TV. unfortunately it doesn't seem like there's really anything on TV by way of serialized stuff anymore. i hear nbc is premiering a show on monday called "persons unknown" that's supposed to be a mystery kinda thing. seems more like the "saw" movies than anything. and i also saw a commercial for something called "the event". they MAY be worth a watch but who knows..
I've heard good things about Justified. I tried watching the first episode but couldn't get into it. Naturally, I've heard the show got really good!
I have heard great things about Sons of Anarchy as well but never got into it.
Starting from season 1 isn't essential, just something I thought I'd want to do. But yeah, I think the main thing is I'd want to write about something that start a discussion. Recapping any old show is fun and all, but I just don't know. Like I said on one of these blogs, if I started a site where I could just write about anything, then I could just throw a post up about my thoughts on Justified or Fringe or Modern Family or whatever! I wouldn't be able to do a recap of every episode of every show, but I could do some interesting things! lol I have to think about it.
but thanks for the recommendations. I think they are already on mine and my wife's list of shows we need to catch up on. It goes a little like this in no particular order:
BSG (still stuck on season 1 finale)
The Good Wife (wife request)
The Wire
Parenthood (wife request)
Breaking Bad
Sons of Anarchy
Justified
Still catching up on tivo backlog:
Vampire Diaries (4 eps left I think)
30 Rock (8 eps left)
Grey's (5 eps left but we may just skip to finale)
Last Summer's "Catch up Shows"
Dexter
True Blood
Weeds
The reason we're so far backed up? Because I forced my wife to adhere to my schedule for LOST, Idol and FlashForward! LOL And of course, I refused to miss The Office, Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, 24, Chuck, Fringe (actually, we fell behind a few times and finally are caught up)......so depressing how much TV I watch! But I definitely watch enough where it should be easy for me to blog about ANYTHING! lol It all becomes a matter of how much time I have and how much I really WANT to do!
Aren't you all glad I just vented? LOL
@Kelly - There are TONS of serialized shows on TV still, just not to the extent that LOST was where you'd be "lost" if you didn't watch every episode. But lots of the shows I watch still build on the episode before it and continue story arcs throughout the season and series. And they build out an ultimate mythology for the show. Even Grey's Anatomy is a serialized show....but they have different medical cases each week where you could still just tune in for an episode and see a self-contained arc while their love lives keep progressing or whatever.
And of course...24 was the ultimate serialized drama since each season was a real-time day. Where things get very UN-serialized is when you get into the procedural shows like Law & Order, CSI or whatever. Yeah, they may have character arcs but it's mainly the "case of the week" that drives the plot. And they replay very well in syndication because of it.
I would guess that Sons of Anarchy has an ongoing story all season. Those shows are still fun to recap to guess where it is all headed. The beauty of LOST though was that there was so much to speculate about. The show was one big giant mystery - and yes...STILL IS! lol Many have tried to replicate its success to draw a huge online fan community, but none have really succeeded to that level. So, I think it's a lost cause to try and GUESS which show it's gonna be that replaces LOST. That's why I'm looking into other options to stay relevant :-) lol
Yeah - I am going to check out Persons Unknown. Saw something about The Event - but nothing about what it is or when it's on.
I appreciate what you mean about trying a show, leaving it behind, then hearing it's great. I did that with B5 AND BSG and had to catch up to those. LOL Also - just finished the first season of 30 Rock! I had to give up Vampire Diaries as I just could not DVR it and never had time to watch it. I might try now that summer is here. I watched the first 5 or so - the teeny booper stuff was painful, but the history/mythology was getting really good when I stopped.
Parenthood was pretty good. I dumped Good Wife - though many are totally devoted to it. ;-D
Hey - Kelly was right ! The Event could be your next blog Mike. Look at this tagline ...
'A suspense-filled journey where the answers only lead to bigger questions.'
Imagine if they'd had that for Lost or FF ?? LOL
http://www.nbc.com/the-event/
I think "THE EVENT" was a reality show. Isn't it? LOL Then again, LOST looked like a glorified SURVIVOR meets Giligan's Island when the promo's started airing LOL I was so against watching it...now it's my favorite show of all time, crazy! Great tagline for the event though lol
Vampire Diaries has been surprisingly good! I'm excited to get back home and finish the season lol I actually don't mind the teeny stuff...but hey...i watch everything! lol I can distinguish between a high quality show and just a guilty pleasure lol But yeah the teeny bopper stuff has sorta taken a backseat to the mythology on Vampire Diaries. Good stuff. Yeah...I'm not too thrilled about getting into Parenthood or the Good Wife. But sometimes I gotta take one for the team! lol
I'll check out The Event!
Parenthood might surprise you. If you come from a sizeable and somewhat close family you'll find it amusing, if not a little predictable. Not as good a Modern Family - but it's ok.
this is hysterical!
http://weblogs.variety.com/on_the_air/2010/06/flashforward-fans-plan-a-mass-blackout-in-front-of-abc-offices.html
Why can a horrendous show like Jericho be "saved" with an expensive cast, but Flash Forward has no chance? Mike, just got back from vacation and I loved the finale..and i too wish it could stay on the air or be moved to Syfy or something..
Life's not fair I guess! I never watched Jericho, but they did have a pretty impressive rally to bring the show back. Although, I read rumors that CBS was struggling to fill a 12 episode slot anyway, so they decided it would be a good PR move to bring back something these fans fought hard to keep.
I do like the BLACKOUT protest that FlashForward fans are organizing (or maybe it already happened, I forget lol I think it's this week some time) See my link above your post. But it sounds like it really isn't going to change anything.
Oh well!
staging the blackout is a great idea! i'm sure it'll do nothing, but i still give props to the coordinators. i love how they're sending friendship bracelets to the head of abc, lol.
i joined the save flashforward page on fb.. though i know it's futile, it's something. who knows..
i watched "persons unknown" last night. though there were some pretty cheesy moments i actually really liked it. it was intriguing enough to hold my interest for the whole hour, and there's enough of a mystery to be able to talk about it with others (though i don't have high hopes that this will be a breakout hit because all of my shows are being canceled lately!). it's supposed to last one season but if it does well enough they will probably bring it back for a second season. check it out if you can, if you didn't watch it last night i'm sure you can watch it on nbc.com now.
I just found this site via a friend. Very nice recap of the last ep! Good closure opinions as well. Sigh.
I really began to get into FF, in spite of various things that bugged me about it. And in the end I really wanted to find out how Simon was going to reverse-engineer the QED, if that was indeed was he was leading to. Waaaa, I wanted more quantum physics on my TV!
Oh well. I'll be following your Event/TV blog from here out!
:-)
@Capcom, thanks for the props! So funny that you enjoyed my finale recap. At that point I was so mad the show was cancelled I just flew through that recap. It probably actually helped me be less wordy and more to the point. I did enjoy FF...but it definitely had its flaws. I'll have to reread my closure opinions, I can't even remember what I said...but I'm glad you're onboard for the next adventure.
Do you watch Fringe too? That show is firing on all cylinders right now. Can't wait for it to start back on Thursday!
If you truly are a fan of the show, as you claim to be, it is beyond my capabilities of cognition to contemplate how you can make comparisons between this great show to that of lost. Lost was the most contrived thing that any person or company has spent more than a single yen on. How in any universe in which that piece of sh*t gained a higher viewer-ship is beyond both me and any sentient being i have ever come into contact with. ABC should be ashamed of themselves, for both airing lost in the first place and for cancelling the only decent programming they have created in their long list of mediocre blandness they claim to be television.
Dude, bitter much? You must be the only person passionate enough to write such a long post of hatrid of a show that wad cancelled a year ago. I did like flashforward and I wish it was still on the air. But making up lies about LOST won't do anything to help the situation. You're entitled to your opinions of course, but I blogged about lost and had many readers there who obsessed over it as much as I did. And we wanted to carry that obsession to another show and continue discussions when lost went off the air. Things didn't work out so well for that. And while the show (FF) ended on a high note I can only guess I was trying to figure out the difference between it and lost. I'm sure you're one of the people that didn't like the lost ending so your 6 years of obsession now seem wasted. I'm sorry you feel that way. But apparently, I was watching a different show that ended fantastically. And my love/obsession for the show did not spoil. Like I said, you can have your opinion but the only person that's going to read it here is me because FF is cancelled! I miss it. You miss it. Let's agree on that and call it a day.
